Who handles your data

What we know about you
- If you buy a map: the email, name and country you enter at payment, the map, the date and the amount. Only Stripe sees your card details.
- If you ask to recover a link: the email you enter, used only to look up your purchases and send you the links again.
- If you write to us: what you write.
- When you visit the site: the technical data of each request (IP address, browser, page) and a count of visits, with no cookies and without knowing who you are.
Why
- To sell you the map and let you open it: sending you the link, finding it again if you lose it, replying to you (performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- For the tax obligations on what we take in (legal obligation, art. 6(1)(c)).
- To understand how many people look at the maps, only in aggregate (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)).
No newsletters, no advertising, no profiling. Your data is never sold.
Who handles it with us
- Stripe and Link, for the payment. Link handles the sale and processes payment data as an independent controller: its privacy notice.
- Netlify, which hosts the site.
- Cloudflare, which counts visits without cookies and without recording personal links.
- Resend, which sends the emails with the link.
- OpenFreeMap, from which your browser downloads the map tiles.
Some are based in the United States: data reaches them with the safeguards the GDPR requires (the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
How long
Purchase data stays on Stripe for as long as the law requires. We keep no archive of our own: the technical logs of the site and of the emails delete themselves within 30 days.
Cookies
Only technical cookies, needed to open the map you bought: that's why we don't ask for your consent.
- locals_mappa_[map]: opens the map you bought on this browser, for 400 days.
- locals_mia_[map]: remembers that the map is yours, to show you “Open the map”. Lasts 400 days.
Visits are counted without cookies. The payment page belongs to Stripe and follows its own rules.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, receive a copy of it or object to its use by writing to alessandroprz97@gmail.com. For payment data you can also contact Link. If you think we're handling it badly, you can complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian data protection authority.
